The Royal Institute of British Architects plans to hold scheduled elections as set out below.

2024

In 2024, RIBA will hold the following elections:

• RIBA President
• RSAW President
• RIBA Council
  • RIBA Council Member – two seats
  • RIBA East Midlands – one seat
  • RIBA North East – one seat
  • RIBA North West – two seats
  • RIBA Yorkshire – one seat
  • RIBA Wales – one seat

Elections timetable:

• Notice of election: 24 April 2024
• Nominations open: 1 May 2024
• Nominations close: 15 May 2024
• Voting opens: 17 June 2024
• Voting closes: 28 June 2024

2025

In 2025, RIBA will hold the following elections:

• RIBA Vice-President Membership
• RIBA Council
  • RIBA Council Member – two seats
  • RIBA East – two seats
  • RIBA South – two seats
  • RIBA Scotland North – one seat
  • RIBA Northern Ireland – one seat
  • RIBA Students – two seats
  • RIBA Associates – two seats

2026

In 2026, RIBA will hold the following elections:

Eligibility

To be eligible to participate in our annual RIBA election, you must be a RIBA Member on the qualifying date (15 April each year). If you are not a RIBA Member and are eligible for RIBA Membership, you must have submitted your application online no later than 23.59pm on 14 April.

RIBA has a commitment to sustainability and using resources effectively and efficiently. In line with this, the elections process will be conducted online. Members who wish to participate in any election must have a registered email address with RIBA.
