Tower Hill Environs Scheme, Tower Hill, London EC3
Architect: Stanton Williams Ltd

Client: Historic Royal Palaces
Awards: RIBA Award

The change in the approach to the Tower of London is remarkable. Gone is the somewhat jumbled collection of buildings and barriers of the past, and in their stead is a grandly sloping open space, from which both the tower and the river are visible as never before.
