This is an extraordinarily difficult piece of integration into a Neo-Gothic setting to provide additional library facilities, carried out in an uncompromisingly modern style but fully respecting the past.
 
The building stands on its own merits with neither pastiche nor gimmick, each detail lovingly honed. The quality of light internally is extraordinary.
