This flagship sustainable building is placed on an island in a lake in a former gravel works. It is secured when not in use by means of a drawbridge that can be raised to make a formidable vandal-proof security barrier.
Intelligent use is made of sustainable energy generation techniques and overall the building is designed to have a low-to-neutral carbon footprint.
