This delightful small-scale children’s theatre, seating 125, has been inserted into the untouched shell of a former parish hall.
The whole thing is full of carefully detailed child-centred incident, such as the outer walls of the egg-shaped performance space, which are made of red felt-covered padded bolsters to protect building - and excitable children.
The Egg was revisted by the RIBA Awards Group and considered for the Stirling Shortlist.
