Prefabricated living comes to Altrincham in the nautical shape of Budenberg HAUS Projekte. This skilfully executed housing scheme, built on the edge of a canal in Altrincham, provides 290 apartments, all with balconies, stepping up from It steps up from three storeys on the residential street at one side to seven storeys facing the canal. This is the first part of a larger regeneration project along the canalside. The steel and concrete structure and the simple aluminium cladding are clearly expressed throughout. This is one of the first residential schemes to use a CPH system, reducing CO2 consumption and pollution levels from 85% to just 15%.
