Nominations for the 2007 fellowships were considered by the Honours Committee, chaired by the RIBA President, which also selects the Royal Gold Medal and Honorary Fellowships. The Honours Committee for 2007 comprised: Jack Pringle, RIBA President; Chris Wilkinson, Wilkinson Eyre Architects; Deborah Saunt, DSDHA; Christophe Egret, Studio Egret ; Kenneth Powell, journalist and writer; and Lady Susie Sainsbury of Turville.

This honour replaces RIBA Honorary Fellowships for non-UK architects whose outstanding work the RIBA wishes to mark. The fellows were presented with their honours at the Royal Gold Medal and Fellowships Dinner on 20 February 2007.
