The Manser Medal sponsored by The Architects' Journal is awarded for the best one-off house or major extension designed by an architect in the UK. The shortlist is chosen from winners of RIBA Awards, and is announced at the RIBA Stirling Prize Dinner.
 
The medal is judged by a panel including Michael Manser CBE, former President of the RIBA; and Tony Chapman, RIBA Head of Awards.
 
The winner of the Manser Medal in 2006 was Holly Barn (insert link) by Knox Bhavan Architects LLP.
