Tutoring Integrated Environmental Design in Studio
Type: Course
On completion, participants will be able to:
- Identify possible barriers to incorporating sustainable environmental design teaching in architecture studio
- Identify strategies for improving the integration of sustainable environmental design teaching in architecture studio
- Identify Rules of Thumb for incorporating environmental design strategies at conceptual design stage including a) solar b) daylighting c) ventilation
- Demonstrate ways of applying Rules of Thumb in practice in a design exercise, integrated into a design process
- Analyse one or more building case studies where environmental design concepts are integrated in architectural design process as precedents.
