Fireco manufactures a range of fire safety door furniture, including Dorgard and Freedor, the unique wireless fire door retainers. Fireco has three divisions: Fire Safety Products, Architectural Ironmongery and Building Consultancy. The Fire Products and Systems Division includes Dorgard (the wireless fire door retainer) which holds fire doors open, closing them at the sound of a fire alarm. Freedor (the wireless free-swing hold open door closer) is wireless, making it suitable for new builds or retrofit projects. Other products include DMS, which provides a visual fire alarm for the deaf and hard of hearing by sending an SMS message to connected users. The Ironmongery and Access Control Division provides an extensive range of architectural ironmongery, including door furniture, signage, automatic doors, door closers, hardware and related products. The Consultancy Division provides specialist building consultancy across all sectors of the property industry, offering unbiased, professional advice in all aspects of fire prevention and fire protection. Our consultants are all high-ranking members of the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE) and Institution of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM). Fireco is also one of the only companies in the UK to have achieved UKAS accreditation for carrying out Fire Risk Assessments.
