Seminar: Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies

Each unit offered covers different subject areas including global examination of energy provision, consumption and climate change, resource provision and waste disposal; local environmental considerations affecting occupant health and well being; choice of materials with environmental constraints; environmental design; design for energy efficiency and the principles and practice of renewable energies. Further details of each unit are contained in the course hand book, available on the website.

CPD attendees will participate in lectures, practicals and seminar group discussions; they will be encouraged to attend student presentations but will not be required to deliver one. Individual tutorials will be available during the week upon request.

Following completion of a unit via CPD, if an attendee wishes to study on the MSc course the unit attended will count towards the course requirements. Course work will be submitted at the next attended unit. CPD fees will be deducted from the MSc fees at enrolment.

The course is suitable for all those with an interest in developing expertise in an area of rapidly increasing importance and where skill shortages are being reported.
