As part of the RIBA Practice Department's continued commitment to lifelong learning, the RIBA has teamed up with Heriot-Watt University to offer the RIBA Certificate in Construction Management through online and distance learning.
RIBA Certificate in Construction Management
Chartered, graduate or affiliate members are entitled to an RIBA certificate in Construction Management where they have:
1. Undertaken any of the following sets of 2 modules:

Management and Organisation of People
Contracts and Procurement
-
Project Management Theory and Practice
Value and Risk Management
-
Construction Financial Management
Micro Economics and the Built Environment
-
Project Management Strategic Issues
Business Management for the Built Environment
2. Attained a proficiency in those subjects demonstrated by passing an RIBA approved assessment.
These modules are taken directly from Heriot-Watt's highly regarded Masters Degree in Construction Management and any modules successfully passed by RIBA members will be exempted from the full Masters as long as the full degree is undertaken within 5 years of passing those modules.
