Further DVDs are planned to assist internal training in small and large design companies around the UK. The aim being to promote understanding of health and safety and how to integrate good practice in the design.
Stephen Williams, Chief Inspector of Construction Health and Safety Executive has welcomed the DVD stating: 'Every project needs the passion, care and creativity of designers. I am very pleased to give my support to this DVD, produced by designers for designers which shows how these goals can be achieved as well as ensuring that risks to the health and safety of those who have to build and maintain them are addressed and reduced by design.'
The DVD challenges architects' perceptions of addressing health and safety through their design process. It also seeks to provide best practice solutions to health and safety issues in design, harnessing great ideas and hints from current architects.
