APM Professional Qualification in Project Management (APMP) and
RIBA Certificate in Project Management

The Association for Project Management (APM) and American Society for the Advancement of Project Management (‘asapm’) are international associations offering a qualification and membership that is recognised worldwide via the IPMA (International Project Management Association). These associations set standards offering an international terminology for project managers in a wide variety of fields, not least of which is construction. More and more architects and surveyors are recognising the benefits of a professional qualification in project management, which helps them communicate in the wider project management community.

The IPMA Level D examination is an important tool for architects and surveyors in project management. If you are new to the field, the APM examination allows the APM to offer you associate membership of the APM, leading to full membership (MAPM) with suitable experience. Experienced project managers enter at full membership level and can then go on to higher levels where required. RIBA members can also achieve, through the same examination and an additional module, the RIBA Certificate in Project Management.

Using the ‘asapm’ model, you enter as a full member.

You can now study for the APMP (UK) or the CPP (USA) and undertake a fast-track intensive course in project management leading to the IPMA Professional Qualification (Level D) in association with JC Consultancy. This fully accredited course offers either the UK or US professional qualification in project management, and the RIBA Certificate in project management, with the exams on the final day.
