Be part of the vision; be part of the RIBA.
The RIBA champions better buildings, communities and the environment through architecture and our members. 2014 is an exciting year for us: we are opening two new galleries in London and Liverpool. These galleries will complement our architecture galleries at the V&A and will showcase our world class library collections and promote architecture to the general public.
We are looking for a Head of Exhibitions and Events to develop and produce a national outreach programme targeted at the general public. You will be working with major partners such as the V&A, BBC, British Council and others to deliver a creative cultural programme of exhibitions, talks, films and events in London, Liverpool and, through touring, across the UK.
Your programme will deliver great footfall, media attention and comment, and generate excitement about architecture on the national stage.
You are currently working in a senior public outreach role in a cultural organisation producing exhibitions, events or programmes and looking for a new challenge where you can use your creativity, project management skills and interest in architecture and related disciplines to promote architecture to a public audience and create a step change in outreach for the RIBA.
This post is based in London with frequent travel to Liverpool.
If you are interested in applying for this position, please send a covering letter and CV along with a completed Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form and Applicants Statement to: Gill Webber, Executive Director - Communications & Outreach at 66 Portland Place, London, W1B 1AD. Alternatively, you can email your application to firstname.lastname@example.org.
