This post supports key activities and events in relation to the RIBA research and innovation programme. You will provide administrative support to the Head of Technical Research, and assist with the general activities of the small research and innovation team within the RIBA Practice Department. You will assist with the RIBA’s academic and technical research programme through the preparation of materials, facilitation and general administration, and participation in relevant groups and meetings. You will be responsible for the administration of the RIBA research awards and the organisation of the annual RIBA research symposium.

You should have a professional or technical qualification in architecture/engineering/ building technology or relevant work-related activity. In addition to general administrative and research skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, experience of organising events to promote and disseminate technical material to a range of audiences is desirable. You should be able to present complex information through a range of communication channels including face-to-face, print and electronic and have experience of writing in styles appropriate for different audiences, including expert and lay. Excellent time management and project management skills are needed in this role.
