RIBA Goldfinger Scholarship

In 1999 the estate of the late architect Ernö Goldfinger generously endowed a sum of money for scholarships to support young Hungarian architects through a period of postgraduate study or work experience in an academic institution or architectural practice in the United Kingdom.

It is hoped that the student or young architect in receipt of the RIBA Goldfinger Scholarship will benefit from the unique support of the Royal Institute of British Architects and return to their native Hungary with the knowledge and skills to make them leaders in the field of architectural education or practice.

The 2008 scholarship allows for a 12-month grant of up to £12,500 (including fees) to be awarded to a postgraduate student or up to £12,500 to be awarded to an architect at increments dictated by the full terms and conditions of the trust.

In 2007 the RIBA was pleased to award the scholarship to Gergely Kovács, for his studies at the Architectural Association.

The current deadline for receipt of applications is Thursday 12 June 2008.
