Student Funding

The RIBA administers a number of funding schemes to support current Part 1 and Part 2 students, as well as graduates undertaking practical experience or further research opportunities.

Financial hardship

The purposes of the RIBA Student Hardship Funds are to:

  • Alleviate financial hardship
  • Widen participation in architectural education
  • Reduce student drop-out rates

Any RIBA Student Hardship grant will be awarded from either the RIBA Education Fund or the RIBA Walter Parker Fund. Students wishing to apply should refer to the guidance notes and application form. You can also read case studies from past applicants.

Information about how you can donate to the RIBA Education Fund, to support a diverse profession and nurture the talented architects of the future can be found on the support us pages.
