Interested in concrete? Passionate about the Penguin Pool? Bemused by Brutalism? Then perhaps you'll want to participate in the study day 'The Joy of Concrete'. This day is based on the rich collections of the Library, combined with the remarkable examples of twentieth-century concrete architecture on the RIBA's doorstop. Just one of many opportunities now available at the RIBA Library with the facilities of the
CETLD Bene Education Room|.
At the
V&A|, contemporary architecture is the subject of the 'Architecture Now' display, and of debates and conversations throughout the year. For the conservationist there are the huge drawing and manuscript collections of the V&A+RIBA Architecture Partnership to explore in the Architecture Study Rooms. These collections will also engage cultural historians, gauging artefact against concept after a visit to the National Art Library. Students of new materials, interiors and spatial design, and many other facets of this wide subject will find exhibitions, events and resources to interest them.
