Become a Client Design Advisor

How do I become a CDA?

Apply if you are an RIBA member|

Apply if you are a not an RIBA member|

The application process is the same for those wanting to join the Main (generalist) CDA
register or the Education (specialist) CDA
register.

Those who apply and are accepted onto the Education CDA register will be automatically listed onto the Main CDA register as well. However, joining the Main CDA register does not mean you will listed as an Education CDA.

You do not need to be a member of the RIBA to apply, but if you are accepted by the Assessment Panel you will need to become a member before your name will be added to the Main CDA register.

Co-professionals who are not members of the RIBA may apply and join the Education CDA register; they will be offered an option to become Affiliate RIBA members as part of their subscription.
