To become an RIBA Associate Member, you must meet one of the following eligibility requirements:

Have passed RIBA-recognised Parts 1 and 2 examinations in architecture (or an examination approved by Council as providing exemption) – or

Been awarded an architectural qualification consisting of a minimum of five years of academic study which is listed in the European Union Directive (2005/36/EC), and be currently working towards the 5 years post-qualification professional experience required for Chartered Membership.
