As an RIBA Associate Member you will have access to a range of professional services and resources that will help you develop your career, whether you are working towards becoming a fully qualified architect, and RIBA Chartered Member, or if you are planning to follow an alternative profession in construction, design or related fields.
Qualify for membership
The RIBA Associate Member category is for individuals who have the following qualifications and experience:
- has passed RIBA recognised Parts 1 and 2 examinations in architecture (or an examination approved by Council as providing exemption) – or
- has been awarded an architectural qualification consisting of a minimum of five years of academic study which is listed in the European Union Directive (2005/36/EC), and is currently working towards the 5 years post-qualification professional experience required for RIBA Chartered Membership.
