To qualify for overseas RIBA Membership through the group eligibility* route, you must be a full architect member of one of the 12 professional institutes prescribed by the RIBA Council:

 

• Australia - Australian Institute of Architects (AIA)
• Canada - Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC)
• Germany - Bund Deutscher Architekten (BDA)
• Hong Kong - Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA)
• Ireland - Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI)
• Japan - Japanese Institute of Architects (JIA)
• Malaysia - Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM)
• Netherlands - Bond van Nederlandse Arkitekten (BNA)
• New Zealand - New Zealand Institute of Architects (NZIA)
• Singapore - Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA)
• South Africa - South African Institute of Architects (SAIA)
• USA - American Institute of Architects (AIA).
