Loans of items to other organisations and exhibitions enable the architectural collections of the RIBA to reach a wider audience and to further promote architecture. The conservation and preservation of the material in the collections is of paramount importance to the RIBA. Therefore, any institutions wishing to borrow items should contact the relevant collections teams at the British Architectural Library for further information about conditions for loans and any fees.

To find out what our collections hold please use the online catalogue. Items can also be viewed in person at the Library's two sites: the Reading Room, 66 Portland Place, for the Photographs, Books and Periodicals Collections; the RIBA Architecture Study Rooms, Victoria and Albert Museum, for the Drawings and Archives Collections. Please check admissions policy and opening hours before you visit us.

Some items have been digitised and these images can be viewed on RIBApix.
