Easter half-term workshop: Fantastical cities

Young Heritage Ambassadors 

Young people aged between 11 and 15 from Tottenham and Croydon took part in creative workshops at the RIBA to investigate their local area and develop an understanding of architecture and how to interrogate collection materials as part of the Lightup Foundation|’s Young Heritage Ambassadors programme.

Children's architecture workshops

A range of workshops aimed at 7 to 12 year olds, included sessions on model making, pop-ups and eco-design.Participants investigated architecture and the city, whilst learning new making, drawing and other creative skills along the way. Read the blog post| of this event.

Half-term workshop: RIBA Extreme Makeover  

Families were invited to explore the RIBA’s HQ at 66 Portland Place. Participants were asked to reimagine the building and be creative by adding their ideas to a giant collage in the shape of 66 Portland Place. Read the blog post| of this event.

Design Day: Make It    

A workshop for 11 to 15 year olds to explore ways of representing design ideas in 3D by experimenting with mass, form and shape, and finding inspiration from the intriguing architectural designs in the RIBA's collections.
