Automobiles Darracq was a French car manufacturer founded in 1896. The firm expanded into Britain in 1905 and established a new showroom in New Bond Street shortly before the First World War. R. Frank Atkinson's design allowed for the display of cars at ground- and first-floor levels, and used stylistic motifs that made reference to the company's French origins.
