Brunswick Methodist Church, Leeds, was built in 1824–5 to the designs of Joseph Botham. The magnificent galleried interior with its grand organ was still splendidly maintained in the early 1960s, but the church was closed soon after and badly vandalised. Though SAVE campaigned for its retention, permission to demolish was given after a public inquiry in 1980.
