Six-wheel omnibus

Design for six-wheel omnibus

Pencil and coloured crayon
Architect: Charles Holden (1875-1960) for Adams Holden & Pearson

Along with bus shelters, Holden even attempted to redesign the body of a standard LT-type bus for the London General Omnibus Company. From this drawing, it would seem that he is experimenting with a new raked front for the bus. Although never implemented, it is clear evidence that there were few aspects of the transport system's design that Holden did not try his hand at improving.
