Temporary opening hours: 12 March - 27 May 2013 (dates inclusive) 

Due to the construction of a new permanent gallery| at 66 Portland Place, temporary opening hours for the Library's Reading Room and the telephone information lines (Information Centre) will operate from now until the end of May 2013. Normal hours| will be restored on Tuesday 28 May, while access to the Photographs Collection will be limited until 2014.

The Library is normally closed on the Saturday before English bank holidays and from Christmas until after the New Year bank holiday. The Library's Reading Room (66 Portland Place) and RIBA Architecture Study Rooms (V&A) are closed for part of August, but the telephone, email, fax and postal enquiry services and the Information Centre will remain available.
