Open City’s Archikids Festival is returning to London at the end of this month, opening some of the buildings in the City of London as the stage for over 30 architectural activities and workshops designed to inspire the next generation about the value of urban places and spaces.
With over 5,000 children set to explore the City’s Square Mile, Open City is seeking a few extra ‘helping hands’ over the weekend of 26 and 27 July to help run the workshops as either lead facilitators or volunteer assistants.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to attend a training session on how to engage with young people prior to the weekend. Other benefits of volunteering include seeing new buildings and places of the city that are not normally open to the public, working with leading architects and artists, and gaining experience of working with public audiences.
