Visitor notice: Reduced access and summer closures

Reduced access to our collections
Due to building work, some items from our collections (including our archives, books, drawings, journals and photographs) have been moved and are currently unavailable. We hope to restore full access by September 2015. Please check this page for more details or contact us if you have any queries.

Summer closures
Our sites and collections will be closed temporarily between early August and early September 2015.

Everyone is welcome to visit us at the British Architectural Library, use our collections and take part in our learning programmes, all located at our headquarters (RIBA, 66 Portland Place) and at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Both sites are free and open to the public and have a range of facilities for all visitors, including wi-fi access and lockers. From here find out all you need to know before your visit, including our opening hours and admission policies (photographic ID or prior booking may be required).
