Reduced access to some collection items in 2015
Due to building work, some items from our collections (including our archives, books, drawings, journals and photographs) have been moved and are currently unavailable. We hope to restore full access by late spring/early summer 2015. Please check this page for more details or contact us if you have any queries.
We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding and co-operation during this period.
Everyone is welcome and entry is free to the British Architectural Library and its collections and learning programmes located at the RIBA's headquarters (66 Portland Place) and at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Both sites are open to the public and have a range of facilities for all visitors, including wi-fi access and lockers. From here find out all you need to know before your visit, including our opening hours and admission policies (photographic ID or prior booking may be required for some sites).
Visitor notice: There are changes in access to some of our sites and collections at 66 Portland Place and the V&A in place until 2017. Until late May 2015 our Study Rooms at the V&A will not be open on Thursdays.
