KPF/AF Public Space Travel Scholarships

The KPF/AF Scholarship gives £1,750 annually for outstanding design by students. The winners travel to a destination of their choosing with the support of the prize.

The Scholarship focuses on the issue of public space. It is open to any student whose projects engage with the design and making of public space. This is understood in a broad sense: projects may be submitted for buildings or groups of buildings of which public space is an element. Projects concentrating on the design of open public space or of urban landscape are also welcome.

This award aims both to support outstanding architecture students, and to encourage new creative thinking by students in the field of public space and public buildings. There are two prizes, one of £1,000 and one of £750. The competition is open to both undergraduate and graduate students at architecture schools throughout the UK, at both Part I and Part II levels.

Deadline: Thursday 31 July 2008.
