2014 RIBA Regional Awards: East

Eighteen buildings in the East of England have been shortlisted for an RIBA East Regional Award in 2014.

The shortlisted buildings will be assessed by the regional awards jury in early March, with the winners of an RIBA East Award being announced on the evening of Thursday 10 April 2014 at a celebratory event at Downing College, Cambridge.
Regional award winners will then go forward to be considered for a highly-coveted RIBA National Award in recognition of their architectural excellence, which will be announced in June.
2013 RIBA Regional & National Awards: East
From an original shortlist of 19 buildings in the East region, seven won an RIBA Regional Award in 2013. RIBA Regional Awards: East (previously known in this region as the RIBA East Spirit of Ingenuity Awards) recognise good, innovative architecture within the region.
The shortlisted buildings were assessed by a regional jury with the winners announced at a gala dinner in Birmingham on Wednesday 12 June 2013.

Regional Special Awards
The 2013 Regional Special Award winners were:
Sustainability Award - Westborough Primary School by Cottrell & Vermeulen Architecture
Client of the Year Award - The Governors of Westborough Primary School for Westborough Primary School by Cottrell & Vermeulen Architecture
Building of the Year Award - Newhall Be by Alison Brooks Architects
Two RIBA East Regional winners went on to win a highly-coveted RIBA National Award in recognition of their architectural excellence on a national platform, announced on the same evening (12 June) and details of these two schemes can be found at RIBA National Award winners.
