The East Midlands region of the Royal Institute of British Architects is made up of branches in Leicestershire, Rutland, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, with a total of around 1,200 members and 180 practices.

The region, working with its four branches, provides a point of contact for members and the public about architecture in East Midlands. The regional office is located in the School of Architecture at Lincoln University.

It offers:

  • a free service helping to match up clients and architects
  • a regular newsletter for members and subscribers
  • architectural award schemes
  • continuing professional development for its members
  • architectural events, such as those in Architecture Week
  • good media interest in RIBA activity and members projects
  • organisation of the regional EM Awards for Architecture
  • co ordination of the regional programme for national Architecture Week

The region comprises four branch societies:

  • Leicestershire and Rutland
  • Lincolnshire
  • Northamptonshire
  • Nottingham and Derby

Meeting regularly, the branches arrange a stimulating programme in support of architectural practise.
