Fifty buildings, 50 years

Great modern architecture in the East Midlands

What, where, how, why?

Fifty 50 showcased innovative and enduring architecture from the 'swinging sixties' onwards, revealing how architectural creativity is shaped by context, place, culture, social and political trends of the time and, in turn, shapes the identity of the region's places and spaces. Fifty buildings were selected from the last 50 years and an exhibition, publication and education activities developed.

The project would not have been possible without the kind support of the Heritage Lottery Fund| and Ibstock Brick|.
