The RIBA Midlands Awards Ceremony 2012 is the East Midlands' & West Midlands' most prestigious live architectural awards event of the year, attended by special guest, RIBA Chief Executive, Harry Rich. The ceremony will take place at the Athena in Leicester on 20 June 2012.

Awards announced live on the night will be RIBA Awards, RIBA Architecture West Midlands Awards, RIBA East Midlands Excellence in Architecture Awards and a number of special category awards.

As our 2012 awards ceremony is located in a stunning Art Deco cinema in the centre of Leicester, our theme for this event is 'Puttin' on the Glitz'. It will be accompanied by a fine selection of exhibits from last year's RIBA exhibition 'Putting on the Glitz' and live music of the era.

Guests are cordially invited to dress accordingly. Our dress code for all awards ceremonies is stylish, but not black tie.

This event is one of four live national Awards events taking place simultaneously nationwide as the highlight of the Love Architecture Festival 2012, which seeks to inspire, inform and excite the public about architecture and the spaces around them. The Awards events will reveal the latest round of exhilarating and innovative architecture to be completed across the East and West Midlands.
