The RIBA London programme is supported by a number of specialist groups and networks that greatly enhance the region's knowledge, capacity and profile.
Headed up by RIBA London Council members and co-ordinated through the London region team, they provide support and expertise on a range of issues, while creating new opportunities for members to get together, exchange ideas and network.
Branches arrange activities for RIBA members in their part of London. Member led, these range from talks, lectures, tours, CPD events and networking opportunities at a local level. The chair of the region liaises with branches and provides a voice on regional council.
Overseen by Nick Lyons - Hamish & Lyons Architects, The Social is a London-wide platform set up to encourage new architects, members and people in the creative industries to exchange ideas in alternative settings. It aims to get designers from all backgrounds together and benefit from a wider circle of contacts and networks.
Chaired by Chris Hampson, the DPPG's purpose is to scope out and respond to a range of design, policy and planning issues at a regional and borough level. The DPPG works with key bodies in the region such as the GLA and other partners across the capital to deliver a programme of campaigns and discussions.
