Between 2009 - 2011, RIBA London co-ordinated a dedicated education programme to embed design learning and understanding of architecture across London.
Working in partnership with other learning providers, it aimed to enhance young people's understanding of the built environment and the opportunities it offers, through creative activities. The programme provided:
support for students in primary schools through to higher education
bespoke formal and informal learning projects
support for teachers and architects who wish to work together.
In 2011, RIBA London delivered Maths through Architecture as part of RIBA's Architects in Residence. Working with Vittoria Primary School, Islington, the maths curriculum was brought to life as pupils explored shape, pattern and scale.
