Dark Waters| was a collaborative exhibition, map and website co-ordinated by RIBA London that sought to reconnect the city to the ancient historical narratives of the River Thames.

An unique Dark Waters Ordnance Survey Map was commissioned for the exhibition, which is formed part of the London Festival of Architecture 2008. During the exhibition, six piers along the Thames hosted audiovisual installations that linked Londoners with the Thames allowing them to experience the waters on an emotional and immersive level.

A Thames Clippers riverboat service formed part of the Dark Waters experience connecting the six piers with London Festival of Architecture activity, allowing visitors to travel between events and exhibitions by boat.
