Design Bites is a series of high-profile public talks and tours that brings together eating and drinking and an exploration of cutting-edge design.
The series of behind-the-scenes talks and tours take place at landmark London eating and drinking venues that have been shortlisted for the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards.
The tours are co-led by the venue architect (or designer) and the chef or operator.
Each tour offers an exclusive insight into the design and food thinking behind the venture and culminates with a drink and taste of something on the menu.
The idea is to showcase the links between the design, cuisine and experience and enjoyment of dining spaces, capturing the interest of foodies and design enthusiasts alike.

Co-led by Mike Lucy of Company of Cooks and Mark Bithrey, Creative Director from B3 Designers, this tour focussed on the innovative mobile 13.5m long champagne bar that dominates the Paul Hamlyn Hall. Once part of the Covent Garden Flower Market, the hall now provides a stunning mix of dining and drinking spaces at the Royal Opera House.
