Amenity Space worked with on the design for the pod at Southwark Cathedral in collaboration with Peter Hills Primary School.

The architects devised a course of five workshops with the children.

The first was held on site at the Cathedral to look at the existing architecture focusing on the windows, doors, floor surfaces and ceilings, whilst also thinking about what a 'time machine pod' could be.

The second workshop was held at the school, children were asked to look at the photos they had taken and work in groups to think about shape, size, colour and interior of their pod designs through drawing and model making.

The third workshop was at BBC 21CC where the children animated their pod designs.

The fourth workshop involved the children presenting their worked up pod designs to the staff at Southwark Cathedral.

The fifth workshop took place at the school when all of the designs were condensed into one final pod design.
