Architecture is a political issue because it affects people's lives: how we live, how our children are taught, how we are treated when we are ill and the quality of local areas.
RIBA London through the DPPG supports national policy objectives through acting as a sounding board for ideas and a place for generating feedback.
It provides comment and evidence through membership cavassing on London issues. Previous areas and ongoing strands of interest include: the London Plan, the Mayor's Housing standards guide, Strategic Views Framework, Supplementary Planning Guidance and change of use.
