The RIBA Conservation Course acts as a first step on the ladder towards developing a specialism in conservation. The course will provide you with sufficient skills, knowledge and understanding to enable you to apply for recognition of your skills within the RIBA Conservation Accreditation Scheme.
Who is it for?
• Architects who want to develop practical knowledge and skills in conservation
• Architects who wish to develop their specialism in conservation architecture
• Architects who need to provide evidence to support their application into the RIBA Conservation Register.
This course is for practitioners who do not already have advanced expertise in conservation or for those who wish to update their knowledge.
Course content and structure
This four day course addresses the philosophical and practical requirements associated with the responsibility of working on an historic building. The course will help you develop knowledge and critical awareness to support your decision making on practical conservation projects. The course is structured as a four day intensive course comprising three classroom based days plus a practical application’ day.

Each day commences at 10am and concludes by 5pm.
