Venue:

Description:

Film Nights with RIBA London & Disegno
This year each film will be introduced by its director or a critic from its respective industry. There will be a presentation before each film, followed by the screening.

The Film Nights will focus on American architecture, furniture and fashion during the mid-20th century and how the images these decades produced have had an ever-lasting impact on international design and architecture.

A special screening of Marfa Voices, a film by Rainer Judd, daughter of the celebrated artist Donald Judd, will be shown during designjunction. The short film looks at Donald Judd’s work in the context of Marfa, Texas and his impact on transforming the small town into a destination on the international artist’s circuit. The film interviews those closest to Judd, ranging from fellow artists and collaborators to his housekeeper and gardener. The screening coincides with an exhibition of Judd’s work at the David Zwirner Gallery in London and will be introduced by its director, Rainer Judd.

Following the film, guests will be invited to join a drinks reception to encourage debate and discussion over a complimentary drink or two.
Drinks kindly provided by designjunction.
