Description:
Joe Martin, Building Cost Information Services (BCIS) Executive Director, will advise on early cost, how to develop a cost plan, life cycle cost planning and demonstrate different tools by RIBA and BCIS. Bob Walton, Chartered Project Management Surveyor will examine the Plan of Work for cost control duties and suggest how client expectations can be met. Sue Palmer, Archivist to Sir John Soane's Museum, will introduce a historical perspective by talking about how Sir John Soane controlled costs within his architectural practice, illustrating her points with examples from Soane's financial and business records. Includes lunch and tour of the museum.
