The Sleeperz Hotel concept is for hotels with small but stylish budget rooms built on the awkward leftover spaces adjoining mainline railway termini. As an urban intervention it works extremely well with 'bookends' in Blaxter sandstone to match the neighbours.
The Westgate Street elevation has a subtle curve and is highly glazed offering views down the street. The railway elevation, clad in zinc tiles, has angled projecting bay windows that direct views across Newcastle instead of over the car park below.
