Harry Rich Presenting Abbas Norozi with the Hadrian Medal for Part Two
The RIBA North East held their AGM at the Stephenson Works, on Friday 30 July 2010.
The meeting marked the end of Dolan Conway's tenure as the RIBA North East Regional Chairman after three years in the position.
Eric Carter was elected as the new Chairman of RIBA North East
'Following on from Dolan is a very difficult task given his energy and enthusiasm for the job; however, I hope that in my own small way I can contribute something to the region and represent the needs and interests of the local members in the national forum.'
Paul Yeomans of MAAP Architecture was appointed to the council as Treasurer
'I am delighted to have been appointed as the new RIBA North East Treasurer and I am looking forward to working closely with Jon Jo and Amanda to meet that challenge and continue to maintain the profile of the RIBA and Architecture across the North East Region.'
The special guest for the night was Harry Rich, Chief Executive, who gave a talk about the future of the profession and also presented the Part Two Hadrian Medal.
The winner this year was Abbas Norozi with his project, Teesside Engineering and Creative Centre.
The North East would like to thank all those who attended their AGM 2010 and especially a huge thank you to Dolan and Moira Conway for their tremendous support over the past three years.
