Presidents Medals Lecture

Description:

To open the touring exhibition of the Presidents Medals in Newcastle there will be a drinks reception and lecture given by Tony Kettle of RMJM architects. 

Tony was educated at Edinburgh College of Art and joined RMJM in 1989 and was appointed as a Director in 1997 and then Managing Director in 2005. As part of his responsibilities Tony has led on a number of high profile design projects throughout the UK and abroad. 

Tony's projects have included the award-winning Falkirk Wheel, the Dubai International Conference Centre, 'Visit Northumberland' Museum at Woodhorn and more recently the City Tower Palace in Moscow. 

Tony is particularly interested in the role of art in extending the boundaries of architecture, engineering and landscape design and was instrumental in the creation of the RMJM Award for Art and Architecture at Edinburgh College of Art.

A drinks reception will be held in the Ellison Building Reception after the lecture.
