Architruck: The RIBA North West Outreach Exhibition Unit

 

There is a growing demand for information on good design and how it is accessed. Architruck contains valuable information and resources on the design and planning process and provides examples of good architecture through exhibition and film.

The trailer also plays a big part in education by encouraging school children to consider architecture, construction and design industry professions as possible career paths.

Activity has included a two month tour of the Lake District, providing information on the proposed World Heritage Site bid. It participated in the Labour Party Conference followed up by a visit to Horse Guards Parade, London. It has spent a month in Manchester as part of the Manchester

Architecture and Design Festival and has been engaged in a number of public consultation events and education activities.

Hiring Architruck

Architruck is available for external organisations to hire at a rate of £750 + VAT per day. This cost includes:

• Driver(s) who will set up Architruck ready for an exhibition to be installed
• If booked on a day hire rate, the driver(s) will remain with the unit to provide
  

  Architruck visits Liverpool during Architecture Week
  

  technical backup
• Insurance, including public liability insurance
• Fuel
• It is preferable for power to be supplied via electricity hook-up. On the occasions that this is not possible the onboard silent gas generator will be used. The hire fee covers the cost of the gas.
