RIBA North West has a fully equipped mobile trailer for hire for mobile event and exhibition requirements, and is able to provide a full 'turn-key' delivery and operation service.
The RIBA-branded 'Architruck' has proved to be a very effective engagement tool for raising the profile of architecture, design and the built environment by providing users with a high-quality, fully mobile, flexible space for meetings, exhibitions, hospitality, classroom and sales uses.
Architruck at The Liver Building, Liverpool
Articulated exhibition and hospitality trailers such as 'Architruck' are ideally suited where there is expected to be high footfall levels, as well as for more static exhibitions.
Activity for 'Architruck' has included a two-month tour of the Lake District, providing information to the public about the proposed World Heritage Site bid. It participated in the Labour Party Conference and has been widely used by the Manchester Architecture and Design Festival. More recently it has been used jointly as a public consultation and engagement tool for Cheshire West and Chester Council and Broadway Malyan in relation to their proposed Northwich town centre redevelopment.
With recent changes to the planning policy, public involvement in ensuring sustainable well design developments is taking on greater prominence, and 'Architruck' provides an ideal tool for ensuring that local communities and neighbourhoods are at the heart of the process.
Architruck is available for organisations to hire at rates from £750 + VAT per day. The cost includes:
Driver(s) who will set up Architruck ready for an exhibition to be installed
If booked on a day hire rate, the driver(s) will remain with the unit to provide technical backup
Insurance, including public liability insurance
It is preferable for power to be supplied via electricity hook-up. On the occasions that this is not possible the onboard silent gas generator will be used. The hire fee covers the cost of the gas.

'Architruck has allowed us to take exhibitions into really prominent locations, which is a great way of teaching to a wider audience.' Richard Wooldridge, President LAWSA and Director Harrison Pitt Architects, Lancaster.
'Architruck played a critical role in a successful public consultation exercise that we led in Cheshire recently. Because we were able to park the Architruck in such a prominent position we secured approaching 1000% more people attending than the traditional public venue we also used. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Architruck to anyone who is looking for high-quality, fully mobile and flexible space for exhibitions'. Matt Brook, Director at global architecture, urbanism and design practice Broadway Malyan.
