Join the RIBA guides on one of our walking tours that put the spotlight on key buildings and public spaces and uses them to tell the story of Liverpool past, present and future.

Our wonderful guides are volunteers and want to share their enthusiasm, knowledge and love of the city with those on the tours. 

What tours are available?

RIBA Liverpool City Tours offers two regular tours throughout the year:

Light Night 2014

We are delighted to be taking part once again in Light Night on Friday 16 May. RIBA Liverpool City Tours will be running the Liverpool One Discovery and Ropewalks tours that evening and bookings can be made online via our booking website

Tour information
Tours take approximately two hours.
Tours cost £7.50/£5 for concessions per person.

Pre-booking is essential as places are limited
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the tour to ensure that the programme is able to operate to time. Tours will leave promptly and it may not be possible to collect latecomers. Once booked it is not possible to cancel bookings. Tours are all conducted in English.

In Person: You can book in person by visiting the Albert Dock Tourist Information Centre. Details of how to find the centre can be found on Liverpool City Council's website. Payment can be made by cash or debit/credit card.

Please note: The RIBA Liverpool City Tours are walking tours using the public spaces and streets. While every effort will be made to make the route as accessible as possible it may not be suitable in places for those with limited mobility. If you are interested in taking one of the tours and have concerns about the route please call +44 (0)151 703 0107 in advance to discuss.

The tours are not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

The tours will go ahead whatever the weather and are almost exclusively conducted outside. Please ensure that you are dressed appropriately.

Cancellation policy: Unfortunately, we are unable to refund bookings if you choose to cancel them. If the tour has to be cancelled, we will offer you a full refund or the opportunity to book onto another tour.
